    With over two decades of experience in the orthopedic industry, John has held various leadership positions, including General Manager of Canada at Wright Medical Technology, Inc. and the Vice President of Global Marketing at MicroPort Orthopedics.

    With two Bachelor degrees from McMaster University and University of Guelph, John has a strong background in medical devices, market development, product launch, capital equipment, and sales operations.

    Professor Michael Gross profile

    Professor Michael Gross completed his medical training at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1975 before continuing on to obtain his English Fellowship in General Surgery in London in 1979.

    After moving to Canada, Professor Gross completed his orthopaedic training at the University of Toronto, obtaining his Canadian Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1981. After one year of fellowship training in allograft and reconstructive surgery, Professor Gross completed a year of Oncology training at the University of Florida before joining the faculty at McMaster University for four years. In 1987, Professor Gross moved to Halifax, continuing his career by providing specialized tertiary-level care for musculoskeletal oncology and revision surgeries in the maritime provinces. Professor Gross is active in joint arthroplasty research and clinical trials and is interested in medico-legal issues and personal injury litigation.

    In recent years, Professor Gross has been an active member of the Canadian medical community, including acting as the Medical Director of the Tissue Bank at the QE II Health Sciences Centre, chairing the Canadian Standards Committee on Tissues, and being an active member in the American Association of Tissue Banks. At present, he is President of the District Medical Staff Association.

    Dr. Jimmy Chow profile

    Dr. Jimmy Chow is a surgeon-inventor with over 15 patents worldwide in the US, Canada, EU, Australia, Japan and China. He is an engineer and a board-certified hip and knee specialist with dual fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction and Arthroscopic Surgery.

    Dr. Chow is the emeritus National Medical Director of Orthopaedics for Tenet Healthcare, the US’s third largest for-profit hospital system. He is the founder of Chow Surgical LLC in Phoenix, AZ, where he is also the Fellowship Director for an ISAKOS-accredited fellowship in hip and knee surgery

    Dr. Chow has extensive experience with surgical technology and has been involved with orthopedics robotics platforms since 2010. He lectures on data, technology, robotics, and AI and recently helped introduce the world’s first machine-learning AI system in orthopedic robotics. Dr. Chow is credited as a key inventor of the SuperPATH microinvasive total hip procedure and has been a lead designing surgeon for the NAVIO and CORI robotics platforms.

    Gary Long profile

    Gary Long is an expert in computer vision, applied mathematics, and artificial neural networks. He holds a BA in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and an MS in Cognitive and Neural Systems from Boston University.

    For 16 years, Gary worked as a member of the technical staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where he researched and developed algorithms to enhance the processing of terrestrial and space-based image and video systems for numerous Department of Defense programs. In 2018, he left MIT to lead a machine learning team at a small startup applying neural networks to the construction industry.

    Gary continues to leverage extensive experience as the Chief Technology Officer at Inkwell Health, focusing on developing algorithms to track swelling and range-of-motion estimations.

    Andrew is a retired Johnson & Johnson MedTech executive. During his extensive Johnson & Johnson career, Andrew held in numerous roles starting is sales and progressing to multiple senior executive roles including Company Group Chairman and President at DePuySynthes and President of Ethicon. Andrew has extensive experience in the global medical technology industry with a focus on creating and advancing standards of care. His key areas of expertise include strategy, innovation, robotics, commercialization, global markets, and M&A. Andrew has lived and worked in Canada, Europe, and the USA. Andrew has degrees from University of Manitoba (BA, economics) and Wilfred Laurier (MBA).
